Betty’s Annex opened in August of 2020 as an emergency shelter for single women and women with children.  There are 6 rooms available.  Single women with children must get a CalWorks or CWS referral sent to Betty in order to stay at the Annex.   Though it is not strictly a domestic violence shelter, many of our Annex residents have experienced or are currently experiencing abusive relationships. For the safety of our clients, the Annex is a closed facility. Clients are able to stay with us for six months with the primary goal of obtaining stable, permanent housing. In addition, all clients receive case management services and meet with their case manager at least once a week. Lunch and dinners are provided.  Clients must sign in and out of the facility when leaving and must return by 9pm unless working a late shift.
